SSS nabs five over alleged kidnap of 6-yr-old boy



Asaba,Delta state -  Operatives of the State Security Service, SSS, in Delta State have arrested five suspects, including a Onitsha-based housewife for allegedly kidnapping a six-year- old boy from a church.



The boy, whose name was given as Sobechukwu Anyamene, after his kidnap from a church in Anambra State, was taken  to Asaba and hidden at a residential house in the Power-Line area under the Niger Bridge.

Parading the suspects at SSS headquarters in Asaba, weekend, state Director, Mrs. F. Ikanone, said the suspects kidnapped the victim “at an Anglican Church in Ogidi, Anambra State on December 18, 2011 and taken to Asaba for safe keeping before his rescue by SSS operatives from Delta State command through the help of the Power-Line Under Bridge vigilante group.”
