How Jonathan deceived Nollywood with $200 Million- Clarion Chukwurah

Popular Nollywood Actress, Clarion Chukwurah has criticised President Goodluck Jonathan over his unfulfilled promise to Nollywood Industry.

She stated that the President promised the Nollywood and Entertainment Industry a sum of $200 million for them to give him support throughout his regime.
She added that nobody in the Industry can boastfuly say he/she has received a dime from the money which was promised. It was a deceit! She said.

The actress who was in support of the masses during the protest against removal of fuel subsidy said:
President Jonathan had announced a donation of $200 million to the entertainment industry during a meeting with the stakeholders in the industry. He described this as a direct intervention lifeline for the exclusive purpose of supporting artist and developing the entertainment industry.

After the Announcement, he received acclamations from Actors, Actresses and Musicians whom now later released songs for his campaign and claimed him as their candidate publicly.
She said the President announced the huge sum of money for the entertainment industry as “a bait to get us all to endorse him for the election and sell our fans to him,” since the President believes that with such endorsement, their fans would do same.
The President is like other politicians who promise and fail. She concluded.
