Two Female Suspected Bombers Arrested by Police at Gwarimpa Estate Abuja

There was a mild drama yesterday around 10.30am at the Gwarimpa Estate, CITEC end of the pedestrian bridge at the CITEC Junction Bus Stop, when plainclothes police operatives numbering more than 15 arrested two female suspected terrorists.

Aisha Buhari consoles victims of Yola bomb blast

Wife of Nigeria’s president, Aisha Buhari, has consoled victims of Yola bomb blast, who are receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, Yola.

Represented by Dr Zainab Nyako, the First Lady condemned the incident and wished the victims speedy recovery.

“The First Lady said I should tell you that she was deeply touched by this bomb incident and other related killings in neighbouring states, and will continue to pray for a speedy and lasting solution”

Dr Bala Saidu, the Chief Medical Director, Yola Specialist Hospital, and Dr Bemi Kala, the Head, Clinical Services, Federal Medical Centre, received the First Lady’s representative in their hospitals.

They thanked the Aisha Buahri for her concern and solicited for more support from individuals and voluntary organisations.

Also speaking, a victim at the Federal Medical Centre, Malam Abdulkadir Mohammed, thanked the First Lady and all those that have been supporting them at this trying moment.

NAN reports that the Thursday night’s bomb blast around Jimeta Modern Market claimed over 30 lives while over 50 people sustain injuries.
